Hi Everyone
I hope you all enjoyed yourselves over Christmas and New Year.
Since our closing race of 2024 at Silverstone (the Birkett Relay which saw us win Class C) there has been a fair bit happen so I thought I`d bring you all up to date with things.
Woodstock went straight over to our trusty mechanic and race car engineer Mark Hadfield (Team Hadfield Motorsport) and for the second year in a row there is nothing performance wise we can to the car so where last year Wooders got a new coat of paint, this year we`ve gone and put him through a general service.
As with all Pumas rust can be an issue but we`ve been lucky with Woodstock, that said - Given we run the car for paying customers it`s important to maintain the structural integrity and make sure everything is as good as it can be. Mark and his team have done a great job fixing things up on the floor of the car, round the arches and what not, top job boys.
We still need to get the fire bottle serviced but once thats done we are once again race ready.....except for the fun unnecessary things :-)
We plan to unveil a new livery for the 2025 season, we`ll be staying yellow of course but will be brightening Wooders up.....more on that in due course.
While we`ve had the space in the garage we`ve taken advantage and managed to get Elmo moved out so we could assess his state and were pleasantly surprised. Given he`d not moved for 3 years it was great to see and hear that mechanically he`s sound. The body work is also good, we`ve got something we can work with. The options for Elmo are simple, take the engine and gearbox out and keep as spares, build him up to Puma Cup spec or build him up to a faster spec to run in Club & Road Sports in a higher class, that`s a wait and see situation.
We`ve also bought ourselves a trailer over the winter, no more 3 hour round trip to pick up a hire trailer - we have a kickass flatbed thats built like a truck. Sweet. It was a solid 6 hour round trip to pick it up but well worth it.
I`ll post up our calendar for the year soon and plan to be more active with socials, videos, this site as well as get some bookings in for Arrive and Drivers too.
Thanks for all your interest and continued support - Really appreciate it
Cheers
Jon.
