Did the winter pass by really slowly, or really quickly?

It`s difficult to know, at some points it seems like forever since we last raced and then in another way, the first race of the year crept up secretly and felt like we`d had no break at all.

As you`ll have seen on previous posts we made a lot of progress with Wooders from a maintenance point of view, making sure to look after him because as our trip to the International Circuit reminds us, we are now into our 6th year together and our very first race was on this config of the home of British Motorsport (not Donington apparently, as any sane person would think).

So having got the circuit the night before and camped in the paddock, it was great to see everyone again and meet Matthew Everatt - a Puma Cup newcomer who is now the proud owner of the Purple Blur before bedding down for a relatively early start and 7:30am scrutineering.......

Having cleared scrutineering it was time to head out for Qualifying, a few steady laps to get things up to temperature and blow off the cob webs and then, bosh - foot down!

Now I`ve lost weight over the winter (well done me) but not from my feet, particularly my right foot, which is clearly heavier than it`s ever been.  Honestly, got into such a groove, everything felt amazing and I was proud as punch to set a time of 1m 23.7s - No Puma Cup has ever gone round this config of Silverstone in sub 84s - Things were looking great, so onto the race........hope you enjoy the video!

Thanks for watching & reading folks - appreciate it.........
